Christmas Mice

Yah I'm finally back for a new post!!! I have been so busy it isn't even funny, but I will be wrapping up my seasonal job in the next week or so and then the packing and moving begins.
Anyway, on to the project. Today I have a cute little treat that I made for our company Christmas party. They are cute little mice made from chocolate dipped cherries, kisses, slivered almonds and some icing for the eyes. My husband and I made these together and it was a lot of fun, not to mention that you get lots of chocolate on your fingers and there are always some leftover cherries. haha.
Well, I hope you enjoy my little bit of inspiration today. Have a great Thursday and a wonderful Christmas if I don't make it back by then.

Update

Hello everyone. First I would like to appologize for my being MIA for the last month or so. My computer has been in the shop and they continue to send the wrong part for it. I am crossing my fingers that it will be fixed by the end of the weekend, but I would have thought I would have been fixed weeks ago. That computer holds all of the pictures of all of my work so I haven't been able to share anything with you.
On other news, Kevin and I finally tied the knot!!! We were married on November 30 and look forward to taking a honeymoon someday when we have time. haha. We will be moving to aother town about 45 minutes away sometime between now and January 31, so that will hinder my sharing as well.
I want all of my followers and the occassional visters to know that I appreciate each and every one of you and am greatful for your sticking with me in this very busy time. I hope to be back full time soon, but until then, have a great holiday with your family and remember to take time to enjoy the blessings that you have been given!!

Too cute

Hi everyone, sorry it has been so long since I have updated my blog. I have started a new seasonal job to help cover Christmas and they have been giving me a ton of hours. Anyway, on to the card. haha

Today I have for you a card that I made for my nephews 2nd birthday. I thought this image by Mo's Digital Pencil was just perfect since this little guy looks like he's about that age and trying to figure the world out all on his own. I colored with Copics (of course), distressed the edges and put a big Happy Birthday in the middle.

Well, thanks for looking, I hope you like it!!!

New Copic Buzz Challenge

Good morning all, how are you today? Today I have a card that I made for the Copic Buzz Challenge on PCP and this week the awesome Victoria Case is our sponsor. She has provided a free image for you to color and she is a cutie!!!
On my card I colored her with spring colors (I'm in denial that winter is right around the corner) and even cut out a cute little butterfly to put in the lower right corner. The paper is from DCWV from a collection called "garden party" of course. I used Prima flowers and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch as my accents!!! Please come on over, join our group and take part in our challenge!! I can't wait to see what you creat!!

Little kisses

Hello everyone, how are you today? I am good today!! I just got a great little surprise, my neighbor rang the bell and brought over some homemade, hot out of the oven, blueberry crisp. YUMMO. We have the best neighbors, they are always bringing us goodies (I think that's how they stay so thin). They are just the sweetest retired couple ever!!

Anyway, on to the other fun stuff!! Today I have a card that features an image by Mo's digital pencil. This image is just sooooo cute!!! I love all of the details in it and it was so fun to color!! I made a card for this image for the Copic Buzz challenge this week. This week Jana is asking us to use your Copics to color your embellishments with. I have the airbrush system (just like the starter kit) and have only used it a handfull of times, but I have to say I do love it and look forward to getting an air compressor to hook it up to!! Besides all of that, I added stickles to the girls coat and white flocking to both coats. I also added Polor White Flowersoft for the snow at their feet (and a little on the back of her coat). The big snowflakes I got at Hobby Lobby in their Christmas department (Yes, they have Christmas stuff out already) and put dew drops in the centers after airbrushing them. The dp is from Alpine Frost collection by SEI (I just love their paper).

Thanks for stopping everyone!! Now go get crafty!!!

Lookin' for clues

Today I have a card for you that has been floating around in my head ever since I got this image from Mo's Digital Pencil. She was giving this image away as a freebie because there have been some companies selling her images as their own. How horrible is that? You can find Mo's images here, so make sure you are buying them right from her and not someone else trying to scam!!!

Ok, on to the card!! Like I said, this card has been floating around in my head. This image can be used in so many different ways, but this is the first that popped into my head. I colored the image with Copics, used Prima flowers, misc cardstock from my stash and printed the sentiment out on my computer (as it is something I thought of for this card). I sure hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!!!

Thanks again for stopping by my corner of the world and taking a look. I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Cupcake box

Hello everyone I hope you are all having a great day and have been getting creative in my absence. I have been away dealing with some family things, but am now getting my mojo back!!

Today I have a cupcake box for you. Yes, it's Christmas themed, but hey, some of us have to get a headstart or we will end up way behind!! It is October 1st and as most are thinking Halloween, I have been trying to get into the Christmas spirit (a little hard when the leaves still haven't turned color) This box is the first thing I made when I got my new Scor-pal!! Let me tell you, I just love this thing. It took me a while to order one, as I thought I could do just as good a job with my stylus and trimmer, but I tell you, I don't know how I ever lived without this thing. I totally whipped this box out in about 1/2 hour and that was while I was watching tv. I used Basic Grey Christmas paper called "Figgy Pudding" and some ribbon I got at Michaels. For the window I used my clear cardstock from PTI (another must have).
Well, I hope you enjoy and get inspired to make your own. Drop me a line if you do so I can see what you have created!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Guest Designer

Today I am so honored to be the guest designer over at Victoria Case Challenge blog.
This weeks challenge is to use the colors Green, Black and Purple and, of course, those colors make you think of Halloween!! I used my VC image "moon witch" for this card, colored it with my Copic markers, but out the image with my nesties and added some really cool PP and then used the Martha Stewart graveyard punch. How great is this? I just love how this card turned out, so simple, yet so cute at the same time.
I hope you all are having a great day, thanks for stopping by. Please go over to VC Stamp challenge to post your creation for this challenge!!!

KLM Challenge

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by again. Today I am showing you a card that I made for Copic Buzz's challenge sponsored by KLM Designs. They have really cute stamps, so go check them out here

This card I made with their pumpkin patch stamp because it just said "fall" and today is the first official day of fall. I colored the pumpkins and apples, etc. with my Copics, then added some liquid glass to the apples. Apples are shiny right? Then I wanted to add some more "fall" to the card so I plastered the bottom with "Autumn" flowersoft!! Gosh I just love that stuff!! I found some really neat letters and put them on the bottom (those are from Joanns), layered with fall papers and added a ribbon from Making Memories. I didn't take a picture of the inside, however, I used another one of KLM's digi sentiments "Happy Harvest".

Thanks for taking the time to look at my work. I hope you enjoy it and it will inspire you to create something today. Remember to stop by Copic Buzz to get a free image to use for this challenge!! I can't wait to see what you creat!! If you would like even more inspiration, check out all of the design teams work!! Don't forget to visit KLM Designs for even more AWESOME images!!!

Happy Stampin'

Let's get Sassy

Sassy Design Studio's that is. They are the sponsors of this weeks challenge on the Copic Buzz blog. Our challenge this week was to use black and grey either in the coloring, the paper or the embellies. With this image I felt I had to go dramatic, she looks pretty serious after all. I started by cutting out a word and image from some halloween paper I have bought at my LSS and used it as a mask to airbrush grey to show off the "Wicked" and the spiderweb. Then I colored my image (at first I was going to go black and purple, but decided on the purple and green instead) with my Copic markers, took a plain white flower and added glue and some Martha Stewart Black Onyx glitter and added to that an orange dew drop. Then I sprayed the whole card front with spray adheasive and poured on the glitter, even an evil woman needs some bling. Something was just missing still, it took me a while to figure it out, but then I came across some more dew drops that were green and purple and decided that is what it needed.
This was one of those cards that just flowed!! It didn't take me very long to create this card, but I sure do love how it turned out. Now it is your turn. You can go over to the Copic Buzz blog and get a free image that is being provided for this challenge. Also, I recommend you go to Sassy Studios to see all of their stamps and you are going to fill up your cart when you get over there. This lady is super talented and has a great design team to go with it. We would love to see what you come up with.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I look forward to seeing what you create with these great images!!

Victoria Case Challenge card

Here is my entry for the Victoria Case challenge #16. It is a color challenge of Red, Orange & Brown and you needed to use a VC image. I purchased this image a while ago and have been wanting to play with it, so I decided there is no time like now!! I put flock on her ear muffs, jacket and boots and I used Polor White Flowersoft for the snow and added some glitter to it to give it some shine. The winner of this challenge will get a new stamp by Victoria Case (Moon Witch) which is completely awesome!!! And if that weren't enough, they get to be the next guest designer!!!

Thanks for looking at my entry, hope you enjoy and that you had a great weekend!!

Flourishes Stamps

Here is a card I made using Flourishes Stamps Gerbera Daisies. These are one of my favorite flowers and as soon as I saw this set, I just had to have it. I was lucky enough to win this set free by winning the Copic Buzz challenge!!
This card I made for a challenge that Flourishes Stamps is having on their blog to win the new fall release of their stamps. I have fallen in love with their stamps and will be a long time customer of theirs for sure!!
This card was made from the Flourishes sketch on thier blog and is just perfect for this stamp set. I used misc. cardstock and ribbon that I had in my stash, the "frill" is made from a Fiskars punch and I added a little bit of Crystal Stickles to the centers of the flowers for some bling!!
Thank you for taking time to visit my courner of the web. I hope you all have a great day!!!

PS: I decided to submit this card for publication to Cards Magazine. I don't know how long it takes to hear back if it was accepted or not.

Bookmark

Today I am posting a little bookmark that I made for my daughter. She had mentioned to me that she wanted one and thought I would whip one up for her. Can't hurt to encourage reading, right?
This bookmark was made with clear cardstock from PTI, PP by My Minds Eye, rubons by DCWV and misc. fibers. It was quick and easy to make with my Coluzzle Tags template that I got from CTMH.
I am sorry that I have been MIA lately, I have been working on baby shower invitations and also getting ready for my CTMH new catalog launch party this Saturday.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time in my corner of the world. Have a great day!!!

DZ Doodles Challenge

Hello everyone, how are you today? I am sorry that I have been gone for the last few days, but I have been spending some nice time with the family.

Over at Copicbuzz.blogspot.com our next challenge is to use any image from DZ Doodles. This is a new digi company and they have a ton of really great images!! Here is a link to their store so you can go purchase some really great images!

This card features a really cute snowman from DZ Doodles. I colored his scarf, hat and sign with my Copics and then to his mittens and his hat I added some flocking to add demention and also some fuzzies!! Then I airbrushed some flowers to add to the card with the 2 blue colors I used on the snowman. I am so beginning to LOVE the airbrush system!! The sparkely cardstock is from Me & My Big Ideas Specialty cardstock that I got last year after the holidays!! (Gotta love clearance paper that is beautiful)

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you here again soon. Please go look at all of the other great samples that the DT has provided for this challenge and don't forget to post your entry by next Monday night!! Good luck and have a great day!!

Baby shower invitation

I have the great honor of being asked to make invitations for my nephew's wife's baby shower coming in October. As we all know, September isn't too far away, so I need to get a jump on these, as I have to make 29 of them.

For this card, I cut the card base with the Nestabilities Label One largest die leaving a little bit of room at the top so the fold wasn't cut. Then I took my pp (by Heidi Grace Designs) and cut that with the same die, but using the whole thing so you can't see the card fold. I colored "ginger" from the CC Designs set "Oh Baby" with my Copic markers, cut her out and put foam squares behind her to lift her off the page. I then took the smallest Label One die and cut out the sentiment from that same set. I added a little bit of cocoa ink around the edges of the sentiment and also put that on a foam square. I added some ribbon I got at Michaels and that's it!!

I hope all of you had a great day, as I did, and hope to see you back here tomorrow!!

Nature

Today I have another card I made for the Copic Buzz challenge #11 sponsored by Flourishes stamps on Papercraft Planet.

I had recently purchased some fall mix flower soft and have been dying to use it, then when I saw the stamp of all the trees, I know that would be perfect. After that, the front of the card just needed something else, so I finally got out my Copic airbrush system (that has been here in the box for over a month) and color some leaves to go on the front. Oh, I almost forgot, I got out my Martha Stewart picket fence punch and punched some "wood" looking fence for the front as well. I then added some "winter" dew drops and there you go!! Now all I need to do is find a good sentiment to put in the inside and it will be all done and ready for fall mailing!!

Thanks again for looking, and I hope you all have a great day!!

Copic Buzz Design Team

Yah, today the design team was announced for Copic Buzz and I have the great honor of being one of them. Today's post is my first project as a design team member and the challenge this week is to be inspired by nature. This challenge is sponsored by Flourishes stamps, and let me tell you, they have awesome stamps over there!!! Here is a link to their website!!

Ok, on to the project. I bought this little tin some time ago and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I decided once I saw this image by Dustin Pike called "soaking" to use this tin as a "snowman soup" tin. I am going to fill it with hot cocoa and small marshmallows and a little mini candycane. Everything you need on a cold winter day!!

The paper for this project is by Close to my heart and is in the Sweet Home paper pack. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I used the Martha Stewart snowflake punch.

I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking a look!!

Cards for Soldiers

Today my post does not include a card for you, however, it is about cards. I would like to get a group of people together sometime in the next month or so to make cards to send to the soldiers that are deployed away from their families. I would like to make not only Christmas cards, but birthday cards, anniversary cards, etc. so that our soldiers can send something special and made with love to their families waiting for them to come back. It is my way of showing how much I appreciate all that they do for me and my family and would like all the help I can get. If you don't live close to Holland Michigan and cannot come to this event, please feel free to contact me and I will give you my address for you to send your cards to, so that I may pass them on.
Please note that there are some specifications that they ask for these cards. They want them to be A2 size if possible, if you use dark cardstock they ask that you put a liner in it so that you can see the writing by the soldier, no glitter, you can stamp the back of the card that it's handmade, but they ask that you include "cards for hero's" on the back as well.
Also, if you will be making them and sending them to me, please include a packing slip with your contact information on it for me to pass along so that you get credit for your wonderful cards!!
Thank you in advance for all of your support!! And please let me know if you need any further information.

Monkey card

Today's card is a birthday card that I made for a special little boy who's turning one soon. His nickname is Monkey, so I knew I just had to make a monkey card for him. This card is made from clear cardstock from Papertrey Ink, the monkey stamp and the bananas are from CC Designs and the leaves are rub ons from DCWV. The sentiment is computer generated. The stamp is colored with my awesome Copic markers as well as the bananas. I used nestabilities to cut around the monkey and the background paper is also from DCWV.

Thanks for looking and I hope you all had a great day!!

Welcome

I would like to welcome you to my new blog. This isn't something I ever thought I would be doing, but as life has taken some crafty turns lately, I decided that there is no time like now to start!!

With this first post, I will post a card that I recently made for our weekly challenge over on Copic Buzz on Papercraft Planet. The image used for this card is from Penny Black and is called "ginger". I have had this stamp for almost a year and haven't had the right time to use it until now. Our challenge was to use pink and brown in our design.
Thank you for stopping by my little blog and looking at my work. I hope to post every day, however, as we all know, sometimes every day doesn't happen like you wish. I look forward to meeting some great artists and friends on here.
Have a great day!!
